Wie viele Sitzplätze habt ihr?How many seats do you have?
Im gemütlichen Innenbereich haben wir ca. 30 Sitzplätze. Im Sommer bietet unsere Außenterrasse auf der Weserstraße nochmals rund 30 Plätze.
In our cozy indoor area we have about 30 seats. In the summer, our outdoor terrace on Weserstraße offers another 30 seats.
Ist das dots barrierefrei / rollstuhlgerecht?Is the café wheelchair accessible?
Ja! Wir haben eine mobile Rampe vor Ort, mit der Rollstühle und Kinderwagen problemlos die kleine Stufe am Eingang überwinden können. Unser Team hilft jederzeit gern beim Aufbau!
Yes! We have a mobile ramp on site that allows wheelchairs and strollers to easily overcome the small step at the entrance. Our team is always happy to help set it up!
Muss ich vorab einen Tisch reservieren?Do I need to book a table in advance?
Für kleinere Gruppen könnt ihr einfach spontan vorbeikommen – wir finden fast immer ein schönes Plätzchen. Für größere Gruppen ab 4 Personen empfehlen wir eine Reservierung über unser Online-Tool.
For smaller groups, feel free to just walk in – we almost always find a nice spot. For larger groups of 4 or more, we recommend booking through our online tool.
Warum wird bei manchen Reservierungen eine Kaution verlangt?Why is a deposit required for some reservations?
Für größere Gruppen (ab 8 Personen) an Wochenenden und Feiertagen erheben wir eine Reservierungskaution von 50 €. Damit schützen wir uns vor kurzfristigen Absagen ("No-Shows"), da Tische für größere Gruppen an diesen geschäftigen Tagen oft weit im Voraus blockiert werden. Die Kaution wird beim Buchen lediglich auf deiner Karte autorisiert (reserviert), es wird vorab kein Geld eingezogen. Wenn du zu deiner Reservierung kommst, wird die Autorisierung automatisch gelöscht und der reservierte Betrag wieder freigegeben. Stornierungen sind bis zu 48 Stunden vor dem Termin kostenfrei möglich, danach behalten wir uns vor, die Kaution einzubehalten.
For larger groups (8 or more guests) on weekends and holidays, we require a reservation deposit of €50. This helps protect us against short-notice cancellations ("no-shows"), as tables for larger groups block valuable space on our busiest days. The deposit is only authorized (on hold) on your card during booking; no funds are actually charged. When you arrive for your reservation, the hold is automatically released. Cancellations are free of charge up to 48 hours before the reservation date. For cancellations under 48 hours, we reserve the right to retain the deposit.

Unsere digitalen Gutscheine sind flexibel und einfach zu nutzen:
Einlösen: Bringt den Gutschein einfach ausgedruckt oder digital als PDF/QR-Code auf dem Smartphone mit ins Café.
Teileinlösung: Ihr müsst nicht den gesamten Betrag auf einmal ausgeben. Das verbleibende Guthaben bleibt auf eurem Gutscheincode gespeichert.
Guthaben abfragen: Scannt einfach den QR-Code auf eurem Gutschein mit der Smartphone-Kamera, um den aktuellen Kontostand live einzusehen.
Wiederaufladbar: Die Gutscheine sind wiederaufladbar. Ihr könnt denselben Gutschein (mit demselben QR-Code) online jederzeit wieder aufladen.

Nein, wir bieten bewusst kein öffentliches WLAN an. Wir verstehen das dots als einen Ort der analogen Begegnung, der Ruhe und des bewussten Austauschs. Wir möchten unsere Gäste dazu einladen, bei uns offline zu gehen, das Handy beiseite zu legen, ein gutes Buch zu lesen oder sich ganz ungestört zu unterhalten – ganz ohne die ständige Ablenkung der digitalen Welt.
No, we deliberately do not offer public Wi-Fi. We see dots as a space for analog connection, relaxation, and mindful conversations. We want to invite our guests to disconnect, put their devices away, read a good book, or simply enjoy a chat – free from the constant distractions of the digital world.

Kann ich bei euch mit dem Laptop arbeiten?Can I work on my laptop at the café?
Unter der Woche ist das Arbeiten am Laptop bei uns prinzipiell okay, wenn es gerade nicht zu voll ist – wir bieten allerdings kein öffentliches WLAN an. Da wir ein Ort der Begegnung und des Austauschs sein möchten, bitten wir euch, die Laptops am Wochenende komplett in der Tasche zu lassen, damit die Tische für gesellige Brunch-Runden frei bleiben.
During the week, working on your laptop is generally fine if it's not too busy – please note, however, that we do not offer public Wi-Fi. Since we strive to be a place of connection and conversation, we kindly ask you to leave your laptops in your bag on weekends to keep tables free for social brunch gatherings.

Sehr gerne! Wir bieten eine große Auswahl an von Natur aus glutenfreien Gerichten und bereiten auf Wunsch fast alle unsere Brunch-Klassiker (inklusive Pancakes!) mit glutenfreiem Brot zu. Da wir jedoch eine lebendige Küche sind, in der auch normales Brot verarbeitet wird, können wir Spuren von Kreuzkontaminationen nie zu 100 % ausschließen. Wenn du eine sehr starke Allergie oder Zöliakie hast, sag unserem Service-Team am besten kurz Bescheid, damit wir in der Küche besonders gut aufpassen können!
Absolutely! We offer a great selection of naturally gluten-free dishes and are happy to prepare almost all of our brunch classics (including pancakes!) with gluten-free bread upon request. However, since we are a lively kitchen that also handles regular bread, we cannot 100% rule out trace amounts of cross-contamination. If you have celiac disease or a severe allergy, please let our service team know so we can take extra care in the kitchen!

Nachhaltigkeit ist für uns kein Trend, sondern eine Lebenseinstellung. Hier sind einige unserer täglichen Beiträge:
100% Ökostrom: Wir betreiben unser komplettes Café (inklusive Kaffeemaschinen und Backöfen) bereits seit 2015 mit echtem, zertifiziertem Ökostrom von Naturstrom.
Mehrweg statt Einweg (RECUP): Seit 2020 nehmen wir stolz am RECUP-System teil. Euren Kaffee zum Mitnehmen bekommt ihr im Pfandbecher, den ihr bei uns oder jedem anderen Partner abgeben könnt.
Makkaroni statt Plastik: Seit 2021 servieren wir unsere Kaltgetränke mit echten Makkaroni-Nudeln als Strohhalme – stabil, absolut geschmacksneutral und vollkommen biologisch abbaubar. (Bei Zöliakie / Glutenunverträglichkeit haben wir selbstverständlich eine Papier-Alternative für euch parat).
Zero Waste Cooking (Leaf-to-Root): Wir stehen voll hinter dem ganzheitlichen Verwerten unserer Zutaten. Auch an der Bar achten wir penibel darauf, ständiges Wegkippen von Milch (nach dem Aufschäumen) zu vermeiden.

100% Eco-Electricity: We have been running our entire café (including espresso machines and ovens) on 100% green electricity from Naturstrom since 2015.
Reusable over Single-Use (RECUP): Since 2020, we have been a proud partner of the RECUP system to avoid waste for takeaway coffee.
Macaroni over Plastic: Since 2021, we serve our cold drinks with real macaroni pasta as straws – sturdy, taste-neutral, and fully biodegradable. (For those with celiac disease / gluten intolerances, we of course have paper alternatives available).
Zero Waste Cooking (Leaf-to-Root): We are fully committed to using ingredients completely. At the bar, we also make sure to avoid wasting foamed milk after preparing drinks.
